New York Giants Draft Rumors: Offensive Line Top Priority, Help Needed in Trenches On Offense and Defense [VIDEO]

Here at Sports World News we will count down each NFL teams’ 2014 draft needs and perfect fits. At the end of every team we will make a pick on who the team could take at their position.

2013 Review: The Giants have a knack for having a terrible season before taking off toward another amazing Super Bowl run when no one is expecting it. If the Giants can learn from a miserable 2013 they will have a shot to make the playoffs in 2014. The NFC East is getting better, but it was mediocre in 2013 and the Giants couldn’t take advantage. Eli Manning will rebound because nothing could be as bad as he was in 2013, but it starts with improving the offensive line and creating a pass rush on defense.

Needs:
Left Tackle:
Keeping Manning on his feet is a big step in the right direction toward the Giants improving in 2014. The draft has three big prizes at tackle and if one drops to New York they shouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. William Beatty cannot be responsible for Manning's well being anymore after his 2013 showing.

Outside Linebacker: The Giants have no big names at either outside linebacker position and could use an upgrade for both. The need isn't pressing as Spencer Paysinger and Jacquian Williams are serviceable and won’t lose the Giants any games, but they won’t win any games either.

Defensive Tackle: After losing Linval Joseph to the Vikings, the Giants could use a new tackle to fill the gaps in their 4-3 defense. The draft has plenty of quality tackles that could slip into round two, but Aaron Donald could be the prize the Giants covet.

Targets: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh
Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M

Best First Round Fit: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
The Giants are in serious need of some left tackle help and Lewan is one of the big prizes of this draft. He can anchor down the new and improved Giants line and if he pans out, New York won’t have to worry about left tackle for the next decade. If Lewan or any of the big three tackles are available at No. 12 they have to pull the trigger on them.
