In Game 1, Felix Hernandez (3-1, 2.53 ERA) takes the ball for the Seattle while Dan Straily (1-2, 5.01 ERA) toes the rubber for Oakland. In Game 2, the Mariners send out Erasmo Ramirez (1-3, 6.75 ERA) while the A's counter with Arnold Leon, who went 2-1 with a 4.34 ERA in six starts for Triple-A Sacramento and is set to make his big league debut.

Outfielder Josh Reddick is expected to start one of these games while working through an ankle injury. Reddick, who is hitless in his last 14 at-bats, is hitting just .215 with a homer and 19 RBIs.

Robinson Cano has paced Mariners regulars in average (.298) while launching one homer and ranking second on the team with 18 RBIs behind Justin Smoak, who has knocked in 20 runs.
