Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has kept himself busy outside of the squared circle, and he will make an appearance at Wrigley Field for a Chicago Cubs game this month and has also appeared in the latest episode of WWE Slam City.

Updated Plans For WWE Payback 2014 Now That Daniel Bryan is Injured

The WWE airs Slam City, an animated show that features WWE Superstars starring in toy form, on the WWE Network, and Punk was featured in a recent episode.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the WWE filmed these episodes well in advance and the latest batch of episodes includes new videos with The Finisher, Brock Lesnar, Sheamus, Punk, The Miz, Rey Mysterio and Damien Sandow.

Punk is on the show in animated form in an episode called Sundae in the Park with Punk where he eats ice cream in the park.

The "Best in the World" hasn't appeared in the WWE since walking out on the company in January after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view prior to a Monday Night RAW telecast the following night. Punk, who has remained mum on his reasoning for leaving, has popped up at various events over the past few months outside of the wrestling world.

Punk appeared on AMC's Talking Dead, has frequented Chicago Blackhawks games, where he participated in the Shoot the Puck challenge during intermission and was recently photographed participating in a Tough Mudder.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Punk is set to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for the Cubs at Wrigley Field on May 17 when they host the division rival Milwaukee Brewers.

Punk left the WWE likely due to his growing frustration with the direction of his character as well as him being in constant pain and burned out from the rigorous traveling schedule. The WWE tried hard to get him back, but after he skipped the Chicago RAW in March and didn't come back for WrestleMania XXX, the company stopped trying to get him back despite the fact that his contract expires in July.

Punk got engaged to WWE Diva A.J. Lee, who took some time off in order to move in with him.

"The Best in the World" has been out of the squared circle for most of 2014, but he has kept himself plenty busy now that he has so much free time.
