The start to Belgium's 2014 World Cup campaign didn't go according to plan, but the team still managed to capture a 2-1 victory over Algeria on Tuesday. After being awarded a penalty, Algeria’s Sofiane Feghouli gave his team a surprising 1-0 lead. It would be short lived. Goals from Marouane Fellaini and Dries Mertens saw Belgium capture the full three points.

Goals: None
An enthralling encounter between Mexico and Brazil saw no winner on Tuesday, ending 90 minutes of inspired football in a scoreless draw. Mexico's Guillermo Ochoa denied the host nation four chances to secure the victory. El Tri captured a much-needed point in Group A.

Goals: Russia—Kerzhakov 74'; South Korea—Keun-Ho 68'

The 2014 World Cup saw its third draw of the tournament on Tuesday, with Russia and South Korea finishing 90 minutes of play tied at one. A thunderous strike from South Korea's Lee Keun-Ho opened the affair in the 68th minute, inexplicably escaping the clutches of Igor Akinfeev. Alexander Kerzhakov would respond for his teammate just six minutes later. The draw sees both team's tied for second in Group H.
