Goals: Holland—Fer 77’ Depay 90’+2

Holland won its third match of the 2014 World Cup, undressing Chile 2-0 in Sao Paulo. A towering header from Leroy Fer emphatically found the back of the net in the 77th minute, giving Holland an insurmountable 1-0 lead. Memphis Depay sealed the victory in stoppage time. The full three points allowed the Dutch to finish atop Group B and avoid Brazil in the Round of 16.

Goals: Spain—Villa 36’ Torres 69’ Mata 82’

Spain managed to save face on Monday, defeating Australia 3-0 before gracefully bowing out of the 2014 World Cup. Playing his first minutes of the tournament, David Villa opened the affair with a world-class backheel in the 36th minute. Fernando Torres doubled the advantage after the break, polishing off Andres Iniesta’s through ball in the 69th minute. Juan Mata sealed the victory just 13 minutes later.

Goals: Cameroon—Matip 26’; Brazil—Neymar 17’, 35’ Fred 49’ Fernandinho 84’

Brazil had zero difficulties in Brasilia on Monday, undressing Cameroon en route to a 4-1 victory. An opening strike from Neymar gave the host nation a 1-0 lead, but Cameroon’s Joel Matip would equalize just nine minutes later. Brazil, however, proved to be too much on the night. A brace from Neymar was followed by second-half goals from Fred and Fernandinho, sealing the 4-1 victory.

Goals: Croatia—Perisic 87'; México—Márquez 73' Guardado 75' Hernandez 82'

Not even controversy could keep Mexico from reaching the Round of 16, seeing the team capture a 3-1 victory over Croatia on Monday. A towering header from captain Rafael Marquez opened the affair for El Tri in the 73rd minute. Just 120 seconds later, Andres Guardado doubled the advantage. Croatia would eventually pull one back in the dying minutes of the match, but any chance of a comeback dissipated with Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's simple header in the 82nd. Mexico advances to the Round of 16 as the Group A runner-up.
