CM Punk Quits WWE: Company Keeps Punk Out Of Money in the Bank Videos On Purpose [VIDEO]

CM Punk stands as the only man to ever win back-to-back Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, but the company purposely kept him out of videos about the match's history when building toward last Sunday's pay-per-view, including their Money in the Bank "By the Numbers" video.

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar Planned For WrestleMania 31

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the WWE built up to the pay-per-view with a "By the Numbers" video and officials sent word that Punk should not be mentioned in the video despite the fact that he won the Ladder Match in two consecutive years and cashed in the contract to win WWE gold both times.

Punk, who quit the WWE in January, became the first man to win back-to-back Money in the Bank Ladder Matches at WrestleManias XXIV and XXV and cashed the contracts in, but the WWE wanted no mention of Punk on the buildup videos to the two Ladder Matches at Sunday's pay-per-view.

WWE Diva Emma Arrested, Fired and Re-Hired Within Three Days

Punk walked out on the WWE in January prior to a live RAW telecast on the night after the Royal Rumble due to being burned out from all the travel and rigorous schedule as well as being frustrated with the way his character was being booked, including a planned WrestleMania XXX match against Triple H.

The company had remained optimistic that they'd be able to convince Punk to come back, but after the "Best in the World" missed the Chicago episode of RAW on March 3 and then WrestleMania XXX, the company changed its stance and didn't expect to have him back.

The company has mentioned him a few times on the air but there hasn't been any announcement on his status, though that could come later this month when his contract officially expires. Punk was referred to as a "retired wrestler" by a close friend and hasn't shown any desire to come back.

The WWE has taken shots at Punk on his company Facebook page by linking videos such as "Superstars Who Threw In The Towel" on his page.

Punk has seemed to enjoy his free time, appearing at Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks games and even breaking his Twitter silence by making a wager with the Los Angeles Kings mascot on the social media site over the outcome of the Western Conference Finals, which was won by the Kings.

Punk got engaged to WWE Diva A.J. Lee, who took time off from the company after WrestleMania to move into Chicago with Punk and the two tied the knot in mid-June. There were then pregnancy rumors for Lee, which were quashed this past Monday when she returned on RAW and reclaimed the Divas Championship from Paige.

"CM Punk" chants still pop up every now and again at WWE events, but the company has continued to distance itself from the "Best in the World," including keeping him out of the Money in the Bank buildup videos.
