Kevin Love Trade Rumors: Warriors, Timberwolves Re-engage Talks Of Potential Deal For Three-Time All-Star [VIDEO]

There were reports recently that the Golden State Warriors were close to landing Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade, and after the potential deal fell through the sides are once again talking about a possible swap.

The Associated Press credits a source that has confirmed that the Warriors and Timberwolves have re-opened trade talks involving the three-time NBA All-Star and the sides have met face-to-face with most of the league gathered in Las Vegas for the summer league games.

According to the report, Timberwolves president and coach Flip Saunders was seen talking to Warriors general manager Bob Myer on Sunday as the two continue to work closer to a potential deal that has been discussed for over a month.

The Warriors want Love to come to Golden State, but have balked at dealing shooting guard Klay Thompson in a potential package to acquire him, which has proved to be a deal-breaker for the Timberwolves.

Golden State reportedly still has no intentions of putting Thompson in the deal, but has offered David Lee, who is owed a whopping $30 million over the next two seasons, along with Harrison Barnes and a future first-round draft pick.

The T-Wolves have also had interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, but they have continued to hang onto Love until they can get the best return.

Minnesota was hoping to keep Love long-term, but once he made it clear that he has no intentions of re-signing with the Timberwolves when his contract expires in the summer of 2015, the team started listening to potential offers so that they don't lose their All-Star for nothing next summer.

The Timberwolves could very well hang onto Love until next year's NBA trade deadline if they don't find the right match through a trade partner this offseason.

Love is tired of losing as the Timberwolves haven't made the playoffs in 10 years -- six of them with Love -- but he may very well have to wait until next winter before he is moved despite the fact that the Warriors are trying their best to sway Minnesota to trade him to Golden State.
