Cesaro WWE Push: Backstage News On Cesaro Turning Babyface Soon [VIDEO]

It has been rumored that Cesaro will be turning babyface soon and the speculation swirled even more when the WWE separated him from his manager Paul Heyman on this past week's Monday Night RAW.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the plans backstage are still for Cesaro to turn face at some point, but the company won't do it until they absolutely need to, likely after Roman Reigns is established as a top good guy.

Reigns is already wrestling in back-to-back pay-per-view main events following the breakup of The Shield, but the WWE wants him to really take off before they turn Cesaro into the next big babyface.

Reigns will face John Cena, Randy Orton and Kane in a Fatal 4 Way for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Battleground Sunday night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida. Reigns is then expected to battle Orton one-on-one in a big match at SummerSlam Aug. 17 in Los Angeles and possibly Triple H at Night of Champions Sept. 21 in Nashville.

There have been early rumors that Reigns may win the Royal Rumble and go on to headline WrestleMania 31 next March 29 against Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but that is just speculation and a lot can change between now and next spring.

As for Cesaro, he is currently slated to compete with 19 other WWE Superstars in the 20-man over-the-top-rope Battle Royal at Battleground for the vacant Intercontinental Championship. Cesaro, a former United States Champion, was the early favorite to win the match, but after his current losing streak on RAW the company may go in a different direction.

Cesaro has been aligned with Heyman, but the WWE's storylines depicted on Monday that the two will no longer be a pair, at least temporarily. This is because Heyman needs to shift his attention to Lesnar, who is set to come back sometime soon fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX.

It is expected that Lesnar will return as Heyman's "Plan C" for Triple H at either Battleground or the following night's Monday Night RAW, but it remains to be seen. Lesnar is rumored to face Cena for the title at SummerSlam and is also booked for Night of Champions.

Cesaro is likely to maintain himself as a heel for the next few months until Reigns is fully established as a top face, at which point the WWE will push him as the next babyface.
