Sting WWE Rumors: Steve Borden Discusses Potential Final Match In WWE And Joining The Family [VIDEO]

Ever since it was revealed on  Monday Night RAW that Steve "Sting" Borden will be a playable character for those that pre-order the WWE 2K15 video game, many fans have wondered if it means he's a step closer to wrestling for the company. Sting recently spoke at length about possibly working a WWE match.

Sting spoke with Grantland and talked about being in the video game after a vignette with him in it aired on RAW.

"It's an honor," he told the site. "It's something I always hoped I could do - to somehow or another be a part of the WWE family in some capacity. And here I am."

CM Punk's Relationship With WWE Worse Than Ever

Sting also said he is very interested in working a match for the WWE, which would be his first in the company and likely the last of his career.

"I'll just say that I'm all in and very willing to participate. Believe me," he said.

There were rumors that Sting would battle The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, but a deal wasn't done and 'Taker fought and lost The Streak to Brock Lesnar, casting some doubt over whether or not he will wrestle again at the biggest show of the year.

There is some speculation that Sting vs. Undertaker could happen at WrestleMania 31 next March, but nothing is confirmed and 'Taker's status is up in the air.

"Absolutely. I would love to have that match," Sting said about facing The Undertaker." I think for wrestling fans it's a dream match, but really it's been a dream match of mine for a long time, as well. I know that The Streak was taken away by Brock Lesnar at this last WrestleMania, but I hope [Undertaker]'s not done. I don't believe he is. And if he is going to be around, I'm hoping for an opportunity."

Sting also mentioned he didn't come over to the WWE back when it bought WCW in 2001 because he had a contract with Time Warner that had 18 months on it which the WWE wouldn't pick up, and he was asked now in 2014 if he regrets not coming over to the company sooner after his time in TNA.

"Yeah, you know what they say about hindsight," he said. "I can look back now and wonder why I didn't do this earlier. But it is what it is, and I'm excited right now. It's like Vince [McMahon] used to say every time I came close to signing but never did: 'Don't forget to cross your t's and dot your i's, and someday we'll do business together.' And here we are. It's a video game, but that's for starters, and we'll see how it develops from here. I'm glad it turned out the way it did."

Sting mentioned John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt as some Superstars he enjoys, but he said he only wants one last match and he'd like it to be with The Undertaker.

"One more match," he said. "That's what I'm hoping to do, and I'd like it to be Taker, and then I'll hang it up."

Sting is willing and hoping for one final match, but it remains to be seen if the WWE will pull it off..
