WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar Appearing On Monday Night RAW? Backstage News On 'The Beast' Returning [VIDEO]

It has been widely reported that Brock Lesnar will take on John Cena in the main event at SummerSlam on Aug. 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and "The Beast" may very well show up on Monday Night RAW this week.

John Cena To Miss Two RAWs Before SummerSlam

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, sources have confirmed that Lesnar is scheduled to make his return to the WWE on Monday's RAW from Miami, the same place that he returned to attack Cena two years ago. Monday's show will be pretty big as it is the kickoff to SummerSlam and will feature a performance by rapper Flo Rida.

Cena is slated to take on Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Kane in a Fatal 4 Way at Battleground Sunday night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida and he will likely retain the title in order to face Lesnar for the gold at SummerSlam.

Sting Discusses Wanting To Face The Undertaker In One Final Match

Lesnar and Cena last battled in a fantastic bout at Extreme Rules 2012 that saw Cena get the win. The plans for Lesnar and Cena to main event SummerSlam have been speculated for a long time and Amazon leaked a DVD cover of the event with the two depicted on it while a video package about the match also surfaced on the internet.

Lesnar is expected to come into SummerSlam fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX with enough momentum to battle Cena for the gold. It has been reported that Cena will miss Monday's event and the Aug. 4 RAW due to filming a movie, but it remains to be seen how the WWE will approach Lesnar's return.

The WWE is reportedly planning on four huge matches for SummerSlam, including Cena vs. Lesnar for the title, Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton, a rematch between Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt and a match between Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella.

Reigns is expected to battle Orton then springboard into a match with Triple H at Night of Champions Sept 21 in Nashville in order for the WWE to provide a big match to entice early network subscribers to renew their subscriptions for the pay-per-view.

Jericho and Wyatt are wrestling at Battleground, but their feud is expected to continue into another match at SummerSlam.

McMahon and Bella have been feuding ever since McMahon mistreated Bella's husband Daniel Bryan and stripped him of the title. McMahon fired Bella in storyline, but there will likely be a stipulation at SummerSlam that if Bella can beat McMahon, she'll win her job back.

It remains to be seen what role Lesnar will have on Monday, but he is expected to make his return to the WWE on RAW.
