Two clubs chasing the Apertura Liga MX title will do battle today in a league match between Club Tijuana and Tigres UANL. Following Tijuana's season opening loss to Puebla, club manager Cesar Farias showed zero worry ahead of Saturday's trip to the Estadio Azteca. "The season is long and there's still plenty of games to be played," he said (via Vavel). "We are calm because if you look at our first game carefully, you can tell we played well. It's important to get a result, but the season is long and we want to do things well."
Fast forward to Saturday. A 2-1 defeat to Club America has Los Xolos dwelling near the bottom of the Liga MX table. Opening their 2014 Apertura account will be paramount at the Estadio Caliente tonight.
