It was reported last week that Spike TV may drop TNA impact Wrestling from its schedule when the contract expires in October, and the promotion is facing another obstacle even if it does get re-signed by Spike TV this fall.

As noted, TNA is in ongoing negotiations with the network in hopes to keep the show on Spike TV after the deal between the two sides expires in October.
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, TNA is being represented in ongoing negotiations by the United Talent Agency, which actually poses another obstacle for the company, which has had its fair share of financial woes. The problem facing TNA is that UTA takes 15 percent of whatever deal they end up striking whether it be with Spike TV or another network.

No matter if Impact stays on Spike or switches networks in the fall, TNA's profits from airing on any network will lessen due to the 15 percent that is owed to UTA.
One of the reasons Spike is dropping TNA is due to the lack of cost efficiency the product has for the network, while its executives were also unhappy with the fact that Vince Russo was still affiliated with the company and was reportedly outed as a TNA employee when he accidentally emailed something meant for TNA to PWInsider, which leaked the story.
Spike TV, having believed that Russo was ousted by the company, was upset that the promotion seemingly hid its affiliation with Russo and flat-out lied about his involvement in the product.
TNA has since officially parted ways with Russo and the former executive consultant for issued a lengthy statement to clear the air on his official website after his departure.
Russo said that he was brought in as a consultant by TNA executive vice president John Gaburick and disputed the fact that Spike TV didn't know he was involved with TNA.
"John Gaburick told me sometime in January/February that at a recent TV taping, he DID INDEED tell Spike representative Scott Fishman that I was working with TNA as a consultant," Russo wrote. "He even went as far as to tell me that Scott 'was cool' with it. Therefore, the story that Spike just found out about my involvement with TNA merely weeks ago, which caused them to not renew their TNA contract, is an ABSOLUTE MISTRUTH. Spike knew of my TNA presence some 6-plus months prior."

TNA's on-air future remains to be seen as the company continues to negotiate a new home for Impact Wrestling.
