There have been rumors that Sting will wrestle a match at WrestleMania 31 this coming March and possibly compete in a few bouts for the WWE, but Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross believes that the former WCW and TNA icon should only wrestle one match.

Ross was asked on Twitter whether or not Sting would wrestle more than one match for the WWE, to which Ross replied that he believes one match at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. would be perfect.
"He could but I wouldn't. One match at WM31 is the deal," Ross wrote.

This opinion differs from that of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who recently said he'd like to see multiple matches out of Sting.
"It was very interesting to kinda gauge Sting's entrance and see if we can get another match out of him," Austin told Sam Roberts during SummerSlam weekend in August on the WWE 2K15 panel. "Actually, I'd like to see a year or two's worth of work out of him, but I don't know his body [and] don't know his schedule or what his desires are. But it was very exciting to see him up on the panel. Finally, after all these years being down south -- whether it was WCW, TNA or whatever -- on stage with WWE personnel."
Sting has widely been rumored to compete at WrestleMania 31 ever since he came on board in the WWE and signed deals to have merchandise and action figures made along with his new Best of Sting DVD and he also appears in the WWE 2K15 video game for those who pre-order it.
While Sting has joined the WWE family and made some appearances while saying how happy he is to finally be on board, the two sides still haven't officially inked a talent contract despite reportedly trying for the past couple of years.
Sting reportedly met with Vince McMahon during SummerSlam weekend to discuss this further, but nothing was made official and he remains as the one main event WCW talent that McMahon hasn't landed a match on WWE television thus far.
Sting has always wanted to face The Undertaker and reportedly was hoping to work with him at WrestleMania XXX last April, but the WWE had no interest in signing him for that match and opted to go with Brock Lesnar instead.
Lesnar went on to beat 'Taker and end The Streak while he also simultaneously injured the "dead man," which put his career in jeopardy.
Despite The Streak being over, Sting still has expressed interest in facing 'Taker at WrestleMania 31 while it is unknown if the WWE legend will compete this year. Sting also said he'd be interested in battling Triple H in the squared circle.
It remains to be seen if Sting will have his first match in the WWE -- and possibly last of his career - at WrestleMania 31 and how many bouts he has left in him.
