BRUINS vs RED WINGS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: NHL Live Coverage from DETROIT

Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, the Boston Bruins (1-3-0, two points) and Detroit Red Wings (1-1-0, two points) faceoff for the second of five meetings this season live from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The game can be live streamed for free here. Boston fans can hear all of the action on WEEI 93.7 while Detroit fans can do the same on 97.1 The Ticket.

Boston has had a rough start losing three of its first four games while Detroit plays just its third game of the season. The Bruins eliminated the Red Wings in five games in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2013-14, but Detroit got a small measure of revenge with a 2-1 home victory in its season-opener last Thursday.

The Bruins have lost three straight contests and have averaged just a goal a game through their first four. In need of a spark offensively, the team signed Simon Gagne, who is slated to make his debut tonight after a preseason tryout with the team.

"I know I had to put myself in a good position, to come here in good shape and show a flash of what I could bring," Gagne said per ESPN. "I felt the last couple of preseason games I started to feel better and better."

The Red Wings have had three days off after a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks and will look to defeat the Bruins once again. Still without Pavel Datsyuk (shoulder), Detroit has just two goals in each of its first two games.

Gustav Nyquist has been a spark, notching two tallies -- one in each game -- thus far this season while Johan Franzen leads the team with three points all off of assists and Justin Abdelkater has found the back of the net once and added one helper thus far.

Carl Soderberg has paced the Bruins with three points off of three assists while Patrice Bergeron and Reilly Smith have each lit the lamp once and added a helper for two points apiece.

Detroit has announced that it will go with Jimmy Howard between the pipes tonight after he beat Boston last week. Howard owns a 5-1 mark over the Bruins in six games in his career and has allowed four goals on 43 shots through two starts this season in which he is 1-1.

Boston will counter with Tuukka Rask, who has been solid but has had no offensive help. Rask is 1-2-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average and .892 save percentage and has allowed seven goals on 65 shots.

The Bruins look to end a three-game skid while the Red Wings hope to beat them for the second time in this young season when the puck drops on these teams tonight at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
