WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan recently offered his thoughts on Bray Wyatt's character and weighed in on what he would do differently with his own in-ring career if he had the chance.
Hogan spoke ChadDukesWrestling.com and was asked what his thoughts were on Wyatt's character now that he is engaged in a feud with Dean Ambrose.
"He fits in that grey area, and I'm gonna put myself over, that I started when I turned bad guy, Hollywood Hogan and people cheered me," Hogan said of Wyatt. "It just showed the fans, whether you're good guy or bad guy, they're gonna cheer who they love and like to watch perform and I think he kinda broke down that barrier again. At first I was like 'Oh man what is this guy doing,' and then I started watching him and with the mind games and the rap and basically how good he was in the ring. I remember one pay-per-view he wrestled Daniel Bryan in the opening match, was like a year or so ago, nobody could follow that match. It was the first match of the pay-per-view and they tore it down. Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt. And I said this guy's gonna be red-hot."
Hogan has been rumored to want to return to have one more match, but it is unknown if he will be able to pass the proper physicals due to him being 61 years of age and having myriad health issues.
Hogan has been hopeful to face John Cena in a battle of the past and present faces of the WWE at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., but that bout his highly unlikely to happen.
The early word is that the WWE is planning a match between Cena and Rusev while there have been ideas tossed around about possible retirement matches for Hogan and Steve "Sting" Borden, though nothing is etched in stone.
Regarding his injuries, Hogan said if he could change one thing about his career, he wouldn't have done the leg drop as his finisher.
"As far as wrestling goes, I would have changed one thing, and I really wasn't thinking," Hogan said. "My whole gimmick was 'The Largest Arms in the World.' I was the first guy to have the big arms, I mean Billy Graham had it but my arms were bigger, I was way over 300lbs, and I had the largest arms in the world. So, why do the leg drop? Why land on your tailbone for 35 years and have nine back surgeries? When if you're working the gimmick brother and you've got the largest arms in the world wouldn't you use the sleeper?"
It remains to be seen if Hogan will wrestle one last match in the WWE, but he likely will not be using the leg drop if he does in fact return.
