Stoke City Prank War: Severed Pig Head Left In Kenwyne Jones' Locker Leads To Brick Being Thrown Through Glen Whelan's Windshield

A prank war gone wild is hogging the headlines of the Stoke City soccer team as it concludes its season in the Barclay's Premier League.

Striker Kenwyne Jones reportedly threw a brick through teammate Glen Whelan's windshield Friday after discovering a severed pig's head in his locker.

Teammate Brek Shea posted a photo of the pig's head on his Instagram account.

According to The Telegraph in London, "Jones is understood to have been furious after discovering the bloody carcass in his locker on Friday morning and threw a brick through the windscreen of Glenn Whelan's car as revenge. ...

"It is understood Whelan, the Republic of Ireland international, was behind the prank and he is expected to meet Stoke officials to explain his behaviour before Sunday's trip to Southampton."

Stoke City team officials promised to launch an investigation into the incident, posting a statement on its official website.

"The Club takes seriously reports of an incident at our Training Ground this afternoon. A full internal investigation will be carried out and those responsible for any unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with in accordance with the Club's disciplinary procedures."

Jones' girlfriend, Kissa Abdullah, took to twitter to express her outrage:

"Big men acting like kids a pigs head is not a prank its just disgusting!!!!! Wtf??? I don't get how was that sup 2 be funny!!!! Really???"

Yahoo!.com added that the incident comes days after some Stoke City players egged forward Michael Owen's car.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis spoke to BBC Radio 5 about the matter.

"We have a smashing dressing room, and there are four or five lads who are always up to something. There is always banter going on. I honestly don't know what's gone on this morning; I've missed all of what's happened. I try to stay away from the home dressing room as much as I possibly can; I let the lads get on with it."

"We will look at it tomorrow, I will have a chat with the lads and find out exactly what has happened. From that point onwards, we'll let everybody know exactly what the situation was."
