Chelsea Transfer News: Jose Mourinho Tells Roman Abramovich to Sign Marco Reus, Real Madrid Prepare Formal Offer

Make no mistakes. All signs point to Marco Reus' departure from Borussia Dortmund in 2015. Manager Jurgen Klopp said as much prior to the club's 2-2 draw with Paderborn in November.

Real Madrid Prepare £75 Million Bid for Eden Hazard

"They had their own dreams, their own situations, different ideas, whatever," Klopp said (via the Express). "So, we will see [about Reus]. The most important thing is the story of this club will go on. We'll have to do it with other players."

"It's not our idea to keep this team together until the end, until their 34 and they go away," he added. "That was not the idea. We did it because of the potential of these players."

Manchester United Prepared to Offer Sergio Ramos £135,000 Weekly Wage

With Barcelona's transfer ban appeal rejected, Real Madrid's window to acquire Reus' services has opened. The club is prepared to make a formal offer (via Marca). The 25-year-old's buyout clause is said to be in the neighborhood of €25 million.

But a familiar foe lurks in the shadows.

According to the Daily Star (via Goal Transfer Talk), Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has told owner Roman Abramovich to sign Reus. Per the reports, the German international is his top target.

Logistically, Mourinho's options to tactically and financially find a place for one of Dortmund's key cogs in London are few and far between. But with Real Madrid's interest in Eden Hazard growing, space and funds can readily be made available should Reus opt for a move to the Premier League instead.

The question is: Is it a switch Chelsea and Mourinho are willing to make?
