New England Patriots Deflategate Scandal: Vice President Biden Jokes That He 'Likes a Softer Ball' [VIDEO]

The New England Patriots' Deflategate scandal is not going away anytime soon.

President Barack Obama Weighs in on NFL Controversy

Reports from ESPN on Tuesday night detailed that NFL investigators have discovered 11 of the 12 Pats' game balls to have been underinflated by at least 2 pounds of air per square inch (PSI) during the team's blowout AFC Championship game win over Indianapolis.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady stringently denied rumors of the underinflated balls, while tight end Rob Gronkowski created his own Twitter meme in response to the allegations. The NFL, however, is in no laughing mood. Sources in the ESPN report described the league office as "distraught." This isn't the Patriots first brush with controversy -- they were famously docked draft picks following 2007's "SpyGate" episode.

Deflategate has become such a ubiquitous story that now even Joe Biden is weight in on the scandal. The Veep was making his rounds on the AM talk show circuit in the wake of last night's State of the Union address, but found a moment to comment on the underinflated footballs.

“I tell you what, having been a receiver, I like a softer ball that’s all I can tell you,” Biden told CBS' The Early Show. Watch his comments below.
