Terminator Reboot Set For 2015; Dwayne "The Rock Johnson Involved? [VIDEO]

Paramount Pictures announced on Thursday that one of the most famous movie series of all-time, Terminator, will be getting a reboot beginning in 2015.

The reboot will be a new trilogy, and it is believed that Arnold Schwarzenegger, the original Terminator who uttered the famous line's "I'll be back," and "Hasta la vista, baby," will be involved in some way, according to insiders who spoke with The Los Angeles Times.

The studio is saying that the new Terminator will be released in July 2015, and will be produced by Annapurna Pictures, the studio that produced Zero Dark Thirty. The newest iteration of the Terminator, if it comes out in July of 2015 as expected, will be released more than 30 years after the series' debut.

Other rumors are flying around that new-age action movie superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, of WWE fame, could be brought into the fold. According to WWE Examiner, "One version of the script is being produced specifically for The Rock himself." A pairing of The Rock and Schwarzenegger would be an action fan's dream, which audiences got an extremely brief taste of in The Rundown.

John M. Chu, the director of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, said of Johnson, "We call him franchise Viagra. He comes in and he elevates everything, not just physically, but energy-wise."

Recently, The Rock has been featured in a bevy of action films including Retaliation, Snitch, and Fast and Furious 6 and 7. He is currently filming Bret Ratner's Hercules in which he will be playing the lead.

The Rock also returned to his wrestling roots recently, headlining Wrestlemania 29 with fellow WWE superstar John Cena. The Rock was defeated by Cena, and is believed to have left the WWE again after suffering multiple injuries during the match.

After the event, he tweeted "In the middle of last nights Wrestlemania match I tore my abdomen & adductor muscles off the bone. Just part of the job."
