Real Madrid Transfer News: Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez to Reject Move to MLS, Wants to Stay in Premier League

No one overpays for has-been talent like Major League Soccer—see Jozy Altidore, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, just to name a few. Despite being just 26 years old, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez was reportedly the league's next target, with Orlando City looking to lure Hernandez to the United States.

According to the telegraph, however, the Real Madrid striker is reluctant to turn his back on the Premier League and Europe. Per the report, Southampton, West Ham and Valencia are all interested.

Featuring for just 247 league minutes, Hernandez admitted last month his confidence has hit rock bottom.

"My situation is frustrating," he said (via ESPN FC). "I participate, give my all in training, but as for playing in matches, the opportunities are minimal. I belong to a team, but am not part of the important bit, the actual games."

"Sometimes my confidence is right down on the ground, even though I am trying for it to be up there, with the help of the people who are always at my side and who support me."

Admittedly, landing Hernandez's services would be massive for MLS, but perhaps more importantly, for Orlando City. The expansion franchise has struggled out the gate, lacking a proven goalscorer to benefit from Kaka's creative touch in midfield.

The club enters Week 6 with just four goals through its first five games; however, given Hernandez's reluctance, Orlando will have to look elsewhere to resolve its issues.
