Clayton Kershaw's latest outing can be summed up in one word: frustration.

That's the way the Los Angeles Dodgers ace opted to describe his feelings following a 5-3 loss to the Texas Rangers on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium.
Kershaw was seen getting very angry in the Dodgers' dugout after allowing Rangers rookie Joey Gallo to stake Texas to a 3-0 lead by giving up the second-longest homer of his career. Kershaw stuffed his glove in his face, yelled into it and slammed it down while he also threw his hat.

Afterward, he was left to explain his emotions after the outing.
"[It was] the most frustrating game I've ever pitched," Kershaw said of his first career start against the team he grew up rooting for, according to ESPN.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said he's seen his southpaw ace get frustrated before, but Wednesday night took the cake.
"At times," Mattingly said about the frustration Kershaw often feels, "but not that much."
Kershaw's frustration wasn't just with his outing as he was also upset over the team squandering many chances throughout the season to win ballgames.
"These feel like games we could or should have won," Kershaw said.
Kershaw gave up four runs (three earned) and five hits in six innings while walking one and striking out 10.
The Dodgers are 8-6 in Kershaw's starts and the lefty is 5-4 overall this season with a 3.29 ERA through 14 games. Kershaw leads the MLB with 122 strikeouts and is third in the National League with 93 innings pitched.
Los Angeles' frustration, while not totally unwarranted, seems a bit off from the naked eye since the club has the second best record in the NL with a 37-29 mark and owns a 2.5 lead over the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants for the top spot in the NL West.
But the team realizes that the lead could be much bigger if it would win the games it's supposed to.
Despite a first place holding, Kershaw's frustration may very well speak for the entire club.
