Golden State Warriors Rumors: Team Misunderstood Doc Rivers’ Comments [VIDEO]

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers is someone who can talk trash and engage in verbal tussles, but as far as his previous comments regarding luck, the Warriors simply misread them and took exception.

Speaking on the matter for the first time before Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson gave their reactions on the matter, Rivers said that the Warriors totally got his comments wrong.

So wrong in fact that the message was not even meant for them in the first place. It was for Rivers' own team.

“You have to have luck to win," Rivers said at the time and apparently the Warriors didn't like the comments. Thompson went as far as responding to the claim, stressing their winning record and of course their success last season.

Whether Rivers was being honest or not is up to debate, but both teams can settle it on the court.

The Warriors are looking to defend their title and possibly repeat as champions, while the Clippers had a busy offseason by picking up key players who can hopefully do a better job than previous lineups the team has carried.

Rivers is not sure why the Warriors took exception, but apparently he is coming in clean. He goes on to say that if he got the same rant during his time in Boston when the Celtics won the NBA title back in 2008, he would be upset as well.
