Fantasy Football Lineup Advice: Replacing Your Studs With Quality Scrubs In Week 10 [VIDEO]

Week 10’s bye weeks include the Falcons, Colts, Chargers and 49ers, leaving lots of fantasy stars on the bench. Here is one widely available replacement at each position. All ownership percentages are courtesy of Yahoo.

Quarterback: Jameis Winston, Buccaneers (26% Owned)

Winston has not thrown an interception in four weeks, and would have flirted with 300 yards through the air in Week 9 vs. the Giants if not for some egregious drops, mostly by No. 1 receiver Mike Evans. The Cowboys are about league average vs. the pass, but Winston, an elite physical talent, is looking like a player who is matchup-proof as long as he avoids bad decisions. Dallas doesn’t tend to make opponents pay with turnovers even if they make bad decisions, so Winston should return to the touchdown column, and may get 300 yards.

Running Back: Joique Bell, Lions (32% Owned)

Bell is the least exciting of Detroit’s three running backs, but at the moment he is the lead back. Theo Riddick does not have the size or durability to be a bell cow, and Ameer Abdullah, while promising, has made too many mistakes to be used a ton. Bell has been there a long time, and he’s the most physical rusher in their backfield rotation. He also has a nice matchup vs. a suspect Packers defense.

Wide Receiver: Danny Amendola, Patriots (24% Owned)

Amendola is hit or miss because of the many options Tom Brady has in this offense, but without Dion Lewis available, Brady will need a new safety blanket. Typically, that’s Julian Edelman, but he draws enough attention now that Amendola can assume that role. His targets have waned the last two weeks, but they were also mostly non-competitive games. Expect the Giants to give New England a fight.

Draft Kings Best Buys For Week 10

Tight End: Richard Rodgers, Packers (41% Owned)

Rodgers is too widely available for a guy who is the No. 1 tight end for the No. 1 quarterback in football. Rodgers is not a big yardage guy, so don’t expect a breakout a la Ben Watson in New Orleans, but he sees about five targets as a floor lately, and a lot of them come in the red zone.
