Ronda Rousey is being raked over the coals these days following the first loss of her career to Holly Holm at UFC 193, for everything from her lack of sportsmanship before the fight, to her reclusiveness after it. A new, unexpected controversy is now cropping up though – many fans believe they have evidence that Rousey has been abusing steroids.
A Reddit debate is raging after photos surfaced from the fight of Rousey’s discolored feet. They had a purplish hue, which some are attributing to jaundice from years of using performance-enhancing drugs. Many have jumped to Rousey’s defense online, offering several possible explanation. Some blamed the material on the UFC mat rubbing off on them, others posited routinely training on dirty floors, while others believe it could be a circulation issue.

Rousey Is UFC's Most Drug-Tested Athlete In 2015
One check mark for Rousey regarding PED speculation is that no other UFC fighter has been tested more than she has this year. As of Oct. 1, Rousey had already been tested five times by USADA. Rousey has also been one of the sport’s most outspoken fighters against steroid use, often denigrating Invicta fighter Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino for her checkered past with PEDs. Mixed martial artist Julie Kedzie posted a photo of her own foot to defend Rousey and vehemently swore she’d never used PEDs.

If it turns out that Rousey was juicing during her incredible run to the top of the UFC, it not only ruins her legacy, it makes Holm’s dominant victory even more impressive.
