Kobe Bryant Wife: Vanessa Bryant Still Doesn't Trust Kobe; Is Unsure About Him Being On The Road After Retirement [POLL, VIDEO]

If Kobe Bryant wants to coach after his final season comes to an end, his wife might be one mighty road block.

The five-time NBA champion has spent his entire adult life in NBA arenas and traveling from destination to destination, so if he thinks he's going to retire and do it all again, his wife, Vanessa Bryant, may have other plans.

Kobe was the first guard to ever get selected in the NBA Draft out of high school and here, 20 seasons later, he is set to retire at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

There have been many rumors regarding what Bryant may get into in his post-playing days, but his wife may not want him to pick up a rigorous schedule right away, according to Vanessa's best friend, signer Monica, who is married to Kobe's former teammate Shannon Brown.

"You have to ask Vanessa," Monica told TMZ. "The head lady in charge has to make that decision because it puts you right back at games, it puts you right back in your seat, cheering, screaming [and] going crazy and it puts you back to having to make everything better after a loss."

There may be other, darker reasons why Vanessa wouldn't be too thrilled to see her husband back on the NBA grind after his retirement. In 2011, Vanessa found out that Bryant had affairs with "multiple women" behind her back, which led to her filing for divorce.

The two were eventually able to repair their marriage, but perhaps that dark cloud still hovers over Vanessa to this day, making her want Bryant to say goodbye to the NBA forever once he retires.

The infidelities included a sexual encounter with a 19-year-old hotel worker in 2003, which eventually led to a rape charge against the 17-time All-Star. The case was settled in civil court, but the result was undisclosed.

Bryant may want to get into broadcasting after his playing career, but it's unlikely Vanessa wants him to announce on-sight, or at the TNT studios in Atlanta, though ESPN does its studio show across the street from Staples Center.

Bryant has had a legendary career on the court, but his wife may not want him to begin to expand his harrowing legacy off of it when he retires.
