NFL Predictions 2015: Why Jameis Winston Will Win Offensive Rookie Of The Year [VIDEO]

Two offensive Rookie of the Year candidates will square off on Thursday when Jameis Winston’s Buccaneers visit Todd Gurley’s Rams. But in reality, Gurley should just conceded the award to Winston.

This is a QB-driven league. That’s enough of a trump card for the No. 1-overall pick to walk away with the award.

Admittedly, Winston’s done more than enough to merit it.

A 2-14 Buccaneers from the year before is somehow still alive in the NFC at 6-7. Winston has matured as the weeks progressed, completing 58.4 percent of his passes for 3,059 yards and 18 TDs.

Even the oddsmakers are on Winston’s side.

But there are others around the league that warrant a look the final three weeks of the season.

Marcus Mariota, QB, Titans

Go figure, another QB.

Mariota’s completing 62.4 percent of his passes in addition to his 252 yards rushing. The Titans’ 3-10 record -- in a really poor AFC South noless -- just isn’t doing him any favors.

Todd Gurley, RB, Rams

Gurley isn’t just rushing for 975 yards and eight TDs, he’s also doing it when it matters most. In the fourth quarter with the game within seven points or less, the Rams RB is averaging 8.3 yards per carry, per ESPN.

Amari Cooper, WR, Raiders

After starting 4-3, the Raiders have dipped to 6-7. That still doesn’t take away from Amari Cooper, who is 80 yards from breaking the 1,000-yard threshold (920).
