Golden State Warriors Rumors: OJ Mayo, Draymond Green Spark New Rivalry [VIDEO]

Things seem to be getting personal between the Warriors and Bucks and all that was highlighted by the postgame exchange that involved OJ Mayo and Draymond Green.

Apparently a lot of this dates back to the first loss of the Warriors last Saturday (108-95), the first loss of Golden State for the season. But it was the things that transpired after the game which picked it up a notch.

The heat was on guard Michael Carter-Williams, who was being criticized for making a stare down on the Warriors’ bench and celebrated last weekend.

But being the competitor that he is, Green was at the forefront of jawing back at Carter-Williams. And Green took it to media and with all the attention, the issue has gone from nothing to something.

And apparently this was what sparked the postgame exchange, which could have gotten out of hand between Mayo and Green.

"He could have handled it different ways than going to the media. He's in a position with a lot of attention on him. He's bashing my brother," Mayo said via CBS Sports after the Bucks squandered a good lead that allowed the Warriors to get even with their lone conquerors of the season, with a 121-112 victory.

Green on the other hand chose to keep it simple this time when it was his turn to be asked about the incident.

"I'm not going to really talk about what guys talk about or say," Green said via Yahoo Sports. What you think he said, he may not have said or may have said. But ain't no man gonna touch my head. I'm a grown man."

The issue about the head tap is seemingly something tied up to the usual ways that players make high fives. But in this case, it may have been done at the wrong time. That is unless Green is started to build a bloated head with all the attention and success the Warriors are having.
