Lamar Odom's latest movement on his road to recovery was a very good sign.
The former NBA star took three steps on his own for the first time after previously only being able to move around with a walker, according to TMZ Sports. Odom's ability to take steps on his own came as a surprise to doctors, and served as the latest piece of good news in his recovery.
Lamar Odom Could Go Broke And Not Realize It
Ever since he fell into a coma after a four-day binge at a Nevada brothel, Odom has had limited mobility in his hands. However, he was able to lift his hood over his head when Kardashian visited him recently, according to TMZ. The site reports that Odom's brain functioning has also gotten better, especially after he recognized a hospital staff member.
Odom's continued improvement could also be good news for Rockets guard James Harden, as it might be a sign that Odom will soon be fine without Kardashian by his side. The reality star was pushing through with her divorce to Odom when his near-death experience occurred, causing her to halt the proceedings in order to support her husband emotionally and financially during his recovery.

The question, however, is whether or not Kardashian is ready to move on from Odom. On Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," which was filmed prior to Odom's health scare in October, Khloe admitted that she believed Odom was her "soul mate," despite all the drama the two were going through.
"Everything Lamar is saying is true. I do love Lamar," she said on the show per People.com. "But Lamar is all talk and no action. For two years I've wanted Lamar to try. For two years I've wanted Lamar to show me some effort. But nothing ever changes. It definitely makes me sad because I still believe he is my soul mate. But right now I have to do what's best for me."
Kardashian eventually moved onto Harden, but they've had their share of troubles as well. Rumors recently circulated that all the men in the reality star's life were getting to Harden.
Kardashian has been spending a lot of time at Odom's bedside, while she went to a The Weeknd concert with another ex, French Montana, leading to rumors that Harden wanted to end things.
It's expected that Odom will be transported to a rehab facility soon and eventually he won't need Kardashian anymore. That could be good news for Harden, unless that is, she needs Odom more than he needs her.
