Kobe Bryant Wife: Vanessa Bryant May Not Appreciate Her Husband's 'Special Night' With Brandy [VIDEO]

Kobe Bryant's wife may not look back on Brandy's memories with her husband as fondly as the recording artist does.

The "The Boy Is Mine" singer went to prom with the five-time NBA champion in 1996, five years before he married his wife Vanessa, and she still has the dress from that wonderful night.

Vanessa Bryant Still Doesn't Trust Kobe

"It was a special night," Brandy told TMZ when asked about the prom.

The good news for Vanessa, however, is that the singer revealed she doesn't try the dress on anymore despite still owning it. Kobe and Vanessa remain married, but they've had a tumultuous past together.

In 2011, Vanessa discovered that her husband had affairs with multiple women, and filed for divorce, but the two were eventually able to work things out. Part of the infidelities included a rape accusation against Kobe, which was eventually settled in civil court in 2003.

Despite the two being able to hash out their issues and remain together, Vanessa's friend Monica, another singer who is married to Bryant's former teammate Shannon Brown and sang on "The Boy Is Mine" with Brandy, gave a hint into how the marriage operates now.

Monica said in December that Kobe's wife will be very much involved in the decision of what he does after his final season comes to an end.

"You have to ask Vanessa," Monica told TMZ. "The head lady in charge has to make that decision because it puts you right back at games, it puts you right back in your seat, cheering, screaming [and] going crazy and it puts you back to having to make everything better after a loss."

It could also put Vanessa right back in the dark days she experienced in 2011, though Bryant may be a changed man after all they went through.

Still, having Brandy, who has a turbulent past with men in her own right -- including two broken engagements -- address the past likely isn't good for anyone.
