Jordan Clarkson didn't get dumped after all.
There were reports that Kendall Jenner ditched the Lakers star for rapper A$AP Rocky. As it turns out, Clarkson was fine with a casual relationship, but couldn't deal with seeing his girlfriend dating more than one man.
Clarkson was reportedly the one to call off the relationship because he didn't like the idea of looking dumb while Jenner, his supposed girlfriend, goes out with other men, according to Terez Owens.
The Lakers star was reportedly hoping things would work out between the two, but sources told the website he saw this behavior from her coming and expected this outcome.
Though he was fine with not putting an official label on their relationship, the Lakers star apparently couldn't deal with Jenner running around with other men -- especially after the two were rumored to be an item in the public eye.
Jenner has been spotted alongside A$AP Rocky in different places throughout the summer, which led to speculation that her fling with Clarkson may be over.
Prior to the split, Clarkson was trying to remain low-key about the relationship, which predictably made headlines.
"I keep all my personal stuff to myself, man," Clarkson told 'Extra.' last month."So even if that was something that's happening or was happening, you would never know."
Clarkson, 24, and Jenner, 20, were very private at events when they were spotted together. The two were seen with one another at a Fourth of July party, but kept things low-key.
Jenner was spotted with A$AP Rocky elsewhere on July 24, mere days after being seen at the party with Clarkson.
After Clarkson and Jenner were seen together in March and then again at Coachella in April, speculation surrounded the two being an item. Reports surfaced back in April that the pair had been "secretly dating" for months. It was also noted that Clarkson was very taken with reality star.
Perhaps for Clarkson this is a blessing since the Lakers have dealt with myriad off-court distractions in recent years and will look to turn things around after finishing a franchise-worst 17-65.
The drama surrounding L.A. included the Iggy Azalea and Nick Young issue, which reached its climax with a split, and rumors of a breakup between D'Angelo Russell and his girlfriend, Niki Withers, which surfaced recently.
Jenner also is part of the Kardashian clan, so it might be wise for Clarkson to avoid falling into the same hole of such athletes as Lamar Odom, who has never-ending drama with Khloe Kardashian.
