Trade rumors start to swirl around again to the Los Angeles Clippers as of late. Though they are having an impressive showing this regular season, some believed that there is still needs to be improved. Now, a new report is spreading they are reportedly interested to Denver Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler.
The Clippers is not new in the rumor mills as they've been linked to previously rumored deals with other teams. Just recently, they are connected again from an alleged deal with the New York Knicks in a rumored trade between Clippers' forward Blake Griffin and Knicks' forward Carmelo Anthony. However, up to this time, the swap is still not happening.
On the other hand, Chandler has been a solid contributor for the Nuggets this season. He is averaging 15.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game and year after year he continues to improve both on offense and most especially on defense. However, recent news is saying that he is asking the Nuggets to trade him.
According to USA Today, Wilson Chandler was allegedly seeking for a trade and wants out to the Denver Nuggets. Though his name was previously mentioned in trade deals, this came as a surprise because he is a putting in an impressive performance for the Nuggets lately.
News source is saying that Chandler is frustrated with his current role with the team. From a starter at the start of the season, he was relegated to the second unit and now playing at a limited minute. Though there is still no confirmation about the report, one team already showed interest in him.
According to LA Sports Hub, the Los Angeles Clippers should consider of going after Chandler if ever they don't get Carmelo Anthony in a trade with the Knicks. He is playing the same position as Anthony, a relatively big man who handles the ball well and can shoot from outside.
Aside from that, he wants to be on a winning team and wish to experience to be in the playoffs as per stated in the report. Having Chandler would only not give the Clippers additional offensive firepower but he is a great defender as well that the Lob City also needs.
