Money In The Bank 2017 Belong To Smackdown

Money in the Bank, a WWE event which is very well known for its ladder matches and is considered as important pay-per-view event compared to other major "big four" events will be exclusive to SmackDown Live in 2017. The event is scheduled for June 18 in at St. Louis, Missouri.

In past during the split of the brands, Money in the bank used to held two matches for both Raw and SmackDown. But this year it might not be the case as on the advertisements on the arena's website listed only Smackdown wrestlers hinting that the show might be branded only for Smackdown. WWE announced that tickets for the event will be on sale from Friday, Feb. 17at 10 a.m. as reported by what culture.

Former 'Money in the Bank' briefcase holders who are with Smackdown at present includes Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Randy Orton, The Miz, Jack Swagger and Kane. Dean Ambrose was the winner last year who cashed in the same night and won the WWE Championship beating his former Shield partner Seth Rollins who won against Roman Reigns as reported by Indian Express.

After the brand split last year, WWE's pay-per-view events apart from SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania have been brand-exclusive. After that time Money in the bank, briefcase had a contract for the world championship opportunity and it was the entry to Wrestlemania.

The blue brand has enough amount of time to prepare themselves with at least 2 pay-per-views which also include Wrestlemania in between. It would be also interesting to see as for whether the expected brand draft in June will be affected by this or not.

Money in the bank ladder match started from Wrestlemania 21 in the year 2005 and that continued until the next 5 years then finally Money in the bank concept was given its own pay-per-view beginning in 2010.
