Mayweather Denies Of Any Deal To Fight Against McGregor Or Anyone Else

Speculations made over the time about the fight between Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor have been put aside this Tuesday. Floyd Mayweather wrote a post on Instagram and made it clear that he had no such deal to fight at UFC with Conor McGregor or any other fighter.

"There seems to be several rumors floating around media recently however, let the record show, there hasn't been any deals made in regards to a fight between myself and any other fighters," Mayweather said and added, "I am happily retired and enjoying life at this time. If any changes are to come, be sure that I will be the first to let the world know."

The denials started firstly from the UFC President, Dana White, who told ESPN, "There is no deal even close to being done" on Tuesday as reported by CBS Sports. After this statement, Mayweather also shared the similar sentiment.

Before all this, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith met Mayweather last Saturday at Oklahoma City during a match of Warriors and Thunders NBA game. Smith told about Mayweather "we're getting very, very close" to the super fight.

McGregor responded to this with a twitter post, "I am in Las Vegas. Floyd has retired on my arrival." Responding to this Mayweather took on Instagram once again on Wednesday morning saying McGregor to take care of his own business with the UFC and then "have your people get in touch with my people" as reported by ESPN.

The 28-yeaar-old McGregor is the UFC's lightweight champion and under contract with the promotion. Marnell told about McGregor, "People are under certain contractual obligations that need to get figured out." McGregor who has never boxed professionally had applied for a boxing license in December.

It was Dana White who offered $25 million each for a fight to both of them. Mayweather's response to this offer by White was, "He's a f---ing comedian!" McGregor, on the other hand, demanded $100 million and said he would be willing to do that with or without UFC's involvement.
