LeBron James Vs Michael Jordan GOAT Debate Still About The Rings Plus MJ Never Asked For Roster Changes

The NBA Greatest of all Time Debate has always been a comparison between Michael Jordan and the current generation's best. Back then it was MJ vs Kobe, now the talk has shifted to Michael Jordan vs LeBron James.

Kobe Bryant has been tagged as the closest thing to Michael Jordan that the previous generation has seen. However, Jordan ended his career with more hardware than Bryant.

The Kobe Bryant vs Michael Jordan Debate ended with five vs six. With Jordan having more NBA Championship rings, his  Airness defeated the Black Mamba in every GOAT conversation in the league.

Now, the current NBA Alpha Male, LeBron James, is thrown into the MJ discussion. There have been numerous ways used in settling the LeBron James vs Michael Jordan GOAT discussion.

LeBron James is still chasing Michael Jordan's six NBA Championship rings. A number of NBA pundits believe that the only thing separating His Airness and The King is the number of NBA championships won. Many believe that for LeBron to be in the GOAT discussion he must, at least, reach Kobe's five.

Another GOAT barometer has recently surfaced. In a recent interview with the vertical, former Chicago Bulls GM Jerry Krause pointed out that Michael Jordan never asked the Bulls to trade or draft players. a

LeBron James has been very vocal about the Cavs need to make roster changes. With his open criticism of the Cavs bench, the management has succumbed to the pressure and has added key pieces just to satisfy LeBron.

In terms of other accolades won, LeBron James is at par or has already surpassed Michael Jordan. Though LeBron is yet to win an NBA Defensive Player of the year, The King is still widely considered as one of the best defenders in the league today.

LeBron James has already been dubbed as MJ's heir apparent. However, the Michael Jordan vs LeBron James debate may still go down to number of NBA rings won, which makes the original number 23 still the Greatest Of All Time.
