Samsung Galaxy S8 News & Update: Specs, Features,Possible Release Date

Samsung rescheduled Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus launch event again. Samsung Galaxy S8 was expected to debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month.

As written in Forbes, VentureBeat's highly reliable tipster Ewan Blass reports that Samsung has decided to push the commercial availability of its new flagship phones, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus from April 21st to April 28th.

Blass explained that Samsung have not given any particular reason but it is known to be proceeding particularly cautiously with this launch, following a rushed Galaxy Note 7 debut last year that ended up pretty bad. However, another possible reason behind the delay is the out of the box features. Samsung officially announced that it will unveil Samsung Galaxy S8 on March 29.

There will be no change in the date but the commercial launch will be delayed due to technical reasons. Previous Galaxy S series models S6, S5 and S4 went on sale in April on 10, 11 and 27 date respectively. Last year, Galaxy S7 was an exception with a March 11 release. Fans are eagerly waiting to hold Samsung Galaxy S8 in their hands.

Photo shared by Blass on Twitter reveals the gigantic front screen and the lack of a physical home button. These two rumors are spreading since a long time and bezel size has been reduced on top and bottom of the phone. Samsung Galaxy S8 will arrive with a 5.7-inch display and S8 Plus will arrive in the big 6.2-inch display.

As written in Mirror, Samsung is planning to put a pair of stereo speakers on the Samsung Galaxy S8, something Apple did with the iPhone 7. The new phone will offer 4K display and 6 GB RAM. The 4,200 mAh battery will survive 24 hours of heavy usage.

Some reports indicate that Samsung Galaxy S8 will include an Exynos 8895 processor coupled with a Mali-G71 GPU. So, the new phone will be 1.8 times more powerful than the previous model, Galaxy S7. If Samsung will follow Apple, there might be no 3.5mm audio jack in Galaxy S8.
