Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 To Introduce Embedded Fingerprint Sensor: Screen-to-Body Ratio Will Be Increased

As per the latest rumors, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be the first smartphone to introduce embedded fingerprint sensor beneath the display. Xiaomi will increase its screen-to-body ratio in its upcoming phone.

There are also some reports that claims that Apple's tenth-anniversary phone will feature the same technology and Apple would eliminate the home button. Xiaomi Mi Mix was trending in news because of its bezel-less panel with a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. As written in Deccan Chronicle, Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun confirmed that Mi Mix will have a successor. The successor is said to be named Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

Xiaomi Mi Mix was designed by French designer Philippe Starck and the same company will design Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 as well. Its bezel-less design set a trend for smartphones across the world. As written in BGR, Xiaomi will aim to achieve 100 percent screen-to-body ratio in Mi Mix 2 that will make it the first-ever smartphone to have no bezels at all.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is rumored to retain the 6.4-inch display that will support the 2K format. There will be a dual lens camera which is now trending after Apple iPhone 7. Its secondary camera is expected to include LED flash enabled telescopic camera. The phone will run Android 7.0 Nougat and MIUI 9.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6 GB RAM, and 256 GB storage. There is no official confirmation whether the successor will be sold in any international markets or not. Mi Mix has not entered an international market till now.

Some reports also indicate that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will have a curved AMOLED display and that too with a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. Xiaomi introduced bezel-less display for the first time in a smartphone market. Now, flagship phones of big giants, Samsung and Apple is also expected to adopt the same technology.
