NBA News: Jeremy Lin Blames Himself for Nets' 106-101 Loss to Sixers

The Brooklyn Nets failed to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday to finish the month of March with a .500 record. Jeremy Lin is blaming himself in the 106-101 loss to the Sixers after struggling to make shots throughout the game.

In an interview with Nets Daily after the game, Jeremy Lin pointed out his poor shooting as the cause of their defeat. He noted that if he only made the open shots he was given, the result would have been different.

"I didn't play nearly close to what I'm capable of, so I have to just live with that tonight and then just get better for the next one, but I definitely feel like if I just had played better - hit more shots - we wouldn't be in this position," Lin said.

Jeremy Lin finished the game with just 11 points but he was able to get six rebounds, seven assists and four steals. He shot just 28.6 percent from the field while only scoring two points in the fourth quarter, per NBA.com. He also gave credit to T.J. McConnell for defending him all night.

Brook Lopez also struggled in the final quarter with only just two points but he finished the game with a solid stat line of 26 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two blocks. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Spencer Dinwiddie also contributed in the game but it was not enough to prevent the loss.

The Nets' bench struggled to score against the tough Sixers defense that played a great game. Dario Saric led the visiting Sixers with 23 points and seven rebounds. Robert Covington also had a good game with 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarot added 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Jeremy Lin and the Nets visit the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Thursday for their final game in March. The Nets defeated the Pistons in their last game a week ago where Lin was out and Lopez hit the game-winning, buzzer-beating jump shot.
