The Brooklyn Nets have a respectable record of 10-10 since March 1 and they are undefeated in the month of April. Nets shooting guard Randy Foye attributes their recent success to Jeremy Lin, who returned from a hamstring injury after the NBA All-Star break.
In an interview with Greg Logan of Newsday, Randy Foye had a lot of praise for Jeremy Lin. He noted that Lin's return from injury turned the team around. Foye added that the 28-year-old point guard makes life easier for shooters like him.
"When Jeremy came back and he got his feet under him, obviously, you can see that it changed a lot, especially for our shooters. It just made it easier for a lot of guys," Foye said.
The 33-year-old veteran also mentioned that he and his teammates were wondering how many games they could have won if Jeremy Lin did not get hurt. They are already past that and they are now focused on winning the remaining four games on their regular season schedule.
The Nets have won three straight games and it would boost their confidence if they can stay unbeaten for the rest of the season. They will visit the Orlando Magic on Thursday before coming home to the Barclays Center on Saturday to host the Chicago Bulls, per NBA.com.
It will be the Nets' final home game as they finish the regular season on the road. Jeremy Lin gets to have a showdown with Isaiah Thomas on April 10 when the Nets visit the TD Garden to face the Boston Celtics. They end their season at the United Center as they take on the Bulls once again.
Jeremy Lin signed a three-year, $36 million deal this past summer which means he has two more seasons to lead the Nets to the playoffs. The Nets can build around their strong March and April to have the confidence heading into the 2017-18 NBA season.
