Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was adjudged as the richest celebrity by Forbes Magazine in its recently released list of world's highest-paid stars for 2018.

According to Forbes Magazine, Mayweather earned $275 million in 2018, mainly due to his fight against UFC star Conor McGregor. Mayweather improved his immaculate record to 50-0 following a 10th round knockout win over McGregor. Considered as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, the 41-year-old Mayweather won titles in five different weight classes.

Aside from being a main attraction, Mayweather was also a promoter of his fight against McGregor, increasing his income beyond the fight purse and the pay-per-view revenue. The Mayweather-McGregor fight earned around $550 million in revenue and became the second highest-grossing pay-per-view fight in history with 4.3 million buys. Mayweather's fight against Manny Pacquiao remains No. 1 with 4.6 million buys.

Mayweather's $275 million income for 2018 pushed him past the $1 billion mark in terms of career earnings. McGregor, for his part, came in at No. 12 with earnings of $99 million, mostly from his fight against Mayweather.

Sean Combs Dropped From No. 1 to No. 32

Last year's No. 1, Sean "Diddy" Combs dropped to No. 32 from $130 million to just $64 million in 2018. According to Forbes, Combs' total last year was increased by his tour and his revenue from his Sean John clothing line.
