Winnipeg enters play having opened up their road trip with two wins while Philadelphia has lost in regulation in their past two games, snapping a seven-game streak where the team escaped with at least one point. The first time these two teams met, the Jets defeated the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout in Winnipeg on Nov. 15.

The Jets latest road win came against the New York Islanders in a 3-2 victory on Wednesday, and the team's triumph made coach Claude Noel happy despite the team almost blowing a 3-0 lead.

"I think the good thing is we're finding a way to win the game," Noel said via NHL.com. "Is it the ideal way to close out games? I'd have to say no, it wouldn't be. That's all part of game management. To me, that's an area where we've battled at trying to get better at that, but that's something we still have to obviously work on, because I don't like the way that we're doing it. But, I'm happy that we get the win."

The Flyers lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning by a 4-2 count on Wednesday and the team will look to bounce back.

"We didn't compete hard enough in the battles right from the start," coach Craig Berube told CSN Philly. "Not the same [as Monday against the Florida Panthers]. Monday, we were fine and turned the puck over. Tonight, they came hard with pressure and forechecked hard."

The Flyers have been led offensively by Claude Giroux, who has just three goals this season but has added 14 assists for 17 points while Brayden Schenn has seven tallies and eight helpers for 15 points and Vincent Lecavalier has found the twine  nine times and added five assists for 14 points. Lecavalier has two goals and two assists in his last five games.

Bryan Little has paved the way for Winnipeg, notching 25 points off of 12 goals and 13 assists while Dustin Byfuglien has found the back of the net six times and added 15 helpers for 21 points and Andrew Ladd has lit the lamp seven times and added 13 assists for 20 points.

In net, Steve Mason is 7-8-2 with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage so far for Philadelphia while Ondrej Pavelec is 9-9-3 with a 2.72 GAA and a .915 save percentage for Winnipeg.

The Jets look for their third straight road win while the Flyers hope to snap a two-game losing streak when the puck drops at the Wells Fargo Center today in Philadelphia.
