Joel Embiid, the big man for the Philadelphia 76ers, may not play in Game 2 of their NBA Playoffs series against the Boston Celtics due to an injured knee.
Coach Doc Rivers confirmed on Tuesday that there had been no change to Embiid's status and that he assumed the star center would be doubtful for the upcoming game.
Embiid did some work during Tuesday's practice, and they will observe the condition of his injured knee before making a final decision. Rivers stated that Embiid's health would determine his playing time, and the fact that the Sixers won Game 1 will not factor into their decision.

Sixers Remain Undefeated
Embiid suffered a Grade 1 LCL knee sprain and missed his second consecutive playoff game on Monday. However, it was later reported that he had a small tear in his right knee and he would need to get it fixed at some point.
He underwent a platelet-rich plasma treatment on the knee last week but hasn't practiced since injuring it in Game 3 against the Brooklyn Nets.
Embiid had been leading the NBA in scoring during the regular season with 33.1 points per game and is in the running for MVP honors, but the Sixers' top priority is his health. If he cannot play, the team will not take any chances.
James Harden scored 45 points in Game 1 to give the Celtics a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. They also remain undefeated (5-0) this postseason.
Despite the team's success without Embiid, his presence is crucial to their playoff run, and the Sixers will have to wait and see how his knee responds before making any decisions about his playing time.
