(Photo : Sarah Stier/Getty Images) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Scoot Henderson (R) poses with NBA commissioner Adam Silver (L) after being drafted third overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers during the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft at Barclays Center on June 22, 2023 in the Brooklyn borough of New York City.

The Portland Trailblazers selected Scoot Henderson in the recently concluded NBA 2023 draft.

Henderson is a highly-touted rookie who is ready to play big boys' game after toughening himself up by playing in the G-League with the G-League Ignite.

The arrival of the 19-year-old PG is seen as a boost for the Blazers but for commentator Stephen A. Smith; his arrival is also an excuse for the team to move on from the Damian Lillard era.

For Dame Dolla's part, the next step for him is to move on, too.

"He needs to move on. Of course, the Blazers organization does not want to lose him," Smith said in the show First Take.

"He's great, 32 years of age, and just finished averaging 32 points. A pillar of the community, he's deified in the Portland area. You know people walk through the turnstiles just to see him play. He's not only an elite player...he's good for business OK! Because he's ingratiated himself with that community that well."

Moving Lillard right now is out of the equation for the Blazers after the team shut down any inquiries for their loyal point guard.

Lillard teases Miami fans again

While Portland appears reluctant to listen to offers for the seven-time All-Star, Lillard continues to tease fans.

He went live on Instagram again and played Will Smith's song Miami in the background.

This may be out of nowhere or not. Lillard previously said that he would prefer to go to Miami Heat if given the chance. He also said that he would love to play with Bam Adebayo someday.
