Jose Ramirez's name is not always present on many people's list of MLB's best, but former World Series champion Kevin Millar believes he should be up there with the ones who always make the headline.

The Dominican star has received multiple accolades, but Millar believes he is still not getting the love he deserves.

He even believes that if the Guardians make the playoffs, it will be because of Ramirez.

"This is the most underrated player in the big leagues," said Millar during an appearance on MLB Network.

"He sits over there in Cleveland, signed a contract that was very team-friendly, and does everything on the baseball field better than anybody he's playing with. Switch-hitter, great energy, they absolutely love him, Tito loves him."

Ramirez currently has a 0.287 batting average which is above mid-level, with .300 being an excellent record already.

Even Shohei Ohtani is fond of Ramirez

It is not just Millar who is taking notice of Ramirez's plays. Even Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani, currently the frontrunner for 2023 MVP, took a liking to his game.

"Jose Ramirez is one of his favorite guys," Ohtani's interpreter explained when asked who the Angels star wanted to meet during the July 12 All-Star Game.

"Obviously they're on opposite teams, but when they play one another they communicate and have a good conversation, and he's a really funny guy, a really nice guy."

The media may not give him the attention he deserves, but Jose is letting his game speak.

He recorded his 10th steal of the season in a loss to New York Rangers. He currently has 14 homers, 53 RBI, 55 runs scored, 23 doubles, and four triples as of this writing.
