NFL star Tom Brady reacted to Shedeur Sanders' comments on social media, after undoubtedly making a difference for his team when the Colorado Buffaloes thwarted the Colorado State Rams in the highly-anticipated Rocky Mountain showdown on early Sunday, September 17, before a record crowd of 53,141.

The holder of seven Super Bowl championship rings, who was unsurprisingly following the college game, took to Instagram to show his love for Sanders, noting: "I want to go 'Shedeur Mode' at some point in life."

Sanders goes into Tom Brady mode

This in reference to Sanders' admission that he went into "Tom Brady mode" while the Buffaloes were trailing the Rams by eight in regulation.

While most thought the Rams would hand their rivals their first loss, the 21-year-old son of Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders had other things in mind.

In the post-game, Sanders admitted that they love these moments. During that stretch, the 2021 Jerry Rice Award winner added that he just went into "Tom Brady mode."

"All I was thinking was Brady mode. Simple. Brady mode. You left too much time out there," Shedeur Sanders stated in the ESPN broadcast after the game. "We talk after every game. I'm sure he's going to text me in a second. But that's all I was thinking is Brady mode, if he can do it, I can do it. We're just alike."

The thrilling 43-35 win of the Buffaloes over the Rams was one for the books, the Associated Press reported.

Sanders was a key figure in crucial plays from regulation and the extra periods, allowing the Buffaloes to rally and spoil the Rams. It was the biggest fourth quarterback comeback for Colorado since 2005, CBS News noted.

"We showed that we have no surrender or give-up in us," Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders said. "They never doubted themselves."

It only gets tougher for the Buffs

Looking ahead, Sanders needs to stay at that Tom Brady level, same with his teammates.

They are in for stiff competition with their upcoming games against nationally ranked UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, and Utah.
