The Colorado Buffaloes are reeling and could use some help, particularly on the defensive end. The huge question is when Travis Hunter can return for Buffs coach Deion Sanders.

There is no question that Coach Prime would get a huge sigh of relief if the 20-year-old cornerback could return to action. Unfortunately, the latest update from Deion Sanders on Travis Hunter may not be comforting.

Sanders reveals that Hunter will be out for two to three weeks more as he recuperates from a lacerated liver, ESPN reported.

"Let's say two or three [weeks]," Sanders said when asked about Hunter's recovery. "It would be my dream and desire for him to stay out until after the bye week."

Hence, the 20-year-old wide receiver will likely miss the Buffaloes games against Arizona State and Stanford. The Buffs drew a bye in the week following that, meaning Travis Hunter may be back in harness by October 28 against UCLA.

Shilo Sanders returns

Aside from Hunter, there is also Shilo Sanders, who was out against the USC Trojans. However, in another update from Deion Sanders, the middle son of the Pro Football Hall of Famer has returned to practice after a scary kidney injury, Sports Illustrated reported.

"Shilo's great and he's back on the practice field," Sanders said. "He's back on getting on my nerves. So he's picking up where we left off."

The Buffaloes are set to face the Sun Devils on Saturday, October 7. They are 6.5 favorites to prevail per USA Today.
