Bill Belichick's time with the New England Patriots may be coming to a close after the current NFL season. Things just haven't been the same since Tom Brady left, and the Pats could be missing the playoffs anew.
With the Patriots sporting a 2-8 win-loss card, the season appears to be slowly slipping away. A huge change could be needed to help New England move on from the Bill Belichick era unless Robert Kraft keeps his faith in the 71-year-old coach, NBC Sports reported.
But should the inevitable happen, several NFL teams could take a chance on the 8-time Super Bowl champion coach. Those linked to Belichick include the Chicago Bears, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Chicago Bears
The Bears are hardly a better team if the current season is concerned. They are 3-7 for the season following their win over the Carolina Panthers last Thursday, November 9, 16-13.
Matching the same number of wins they had last NFL season, Chicago is on the way to improving that with still more games to come. Despite that, however, it is clear that the Bears need a new man at the coaching helm.
The Bears would make sense for Belichick if he is relieved by the Patriots. But for that to happen, Chicago would have to cut ties with Matt Eberflus first.
If Chicago fails to make it to the playoffs again, a coaching change looms over the horizon, Jeff Smith of Sports Illustrated suggested.
Las Vegas Raiders
Josh McDaniels is no longer around after he was given the pink slip last Halloween night after one-and-a-half seasons. This was after a team meeting with Mark Davis, with the players airing their grievances to the team owner, Fox News reported.

In McDaniel's place was Antonio Pierce, who is serving on an interim basis. He passed his baptism of fire, leading the Raiders to a 30-12 win against the New York Jets on Sunday, November 5, ESPN reported.
There is no telling if the Raiders will stick with Pierce and lift that interim tag. That will all depend on how the Raiders respond to him. Las Vegas is 4-5 for the season, and if things don't pick up, Davis may push for a major change in the offseason, and Belichick could be a sensible option.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers have a talented team, and Brandon Staley is doing a good job keeping up the fort. For a team with a good QB in Justin Herbert, there is no doubt that Los Angeles can do better on offense.
A more seasoned Belichick could improve the Chargers' chances, someone who knows how to maximize talent on a team. If available, expect the LA Chargers to explore possibilities with the 71-year-old coach, SB Nation suggested.
While these three teams make sense, it all means nothing unless Belichick is officially out of New England. That is a development to watch in the offseason.
