Jon Rahm officially jumped to LIV Golf recently, and most knew that the PGA Tour would not take it lightly.
The circuit informed its members on Monday, December 11, that Rahm has been suspended and will no longer be eligible to participate in any PGA Tournament play, NBC Sports reported.
"In accordance with the PGA Tour tournament regulations, Jon Rahm has been notified that he is suspended and no longer eligible to participate in PGA Tour tournament play due to his association with a series of unauthorized tournaments," a memo from the circuit read in part.

Who gains from Jon Rahm's suspension?
With Rahm's eligibility points removed from the PGA Tour playoffs, seen to gain from the development are other players ranked below the Spanish golfer, ESPN reported.
Mackenzie Hughes benefited from this development, moving up to 50th. This also means he will be eligible for all signature events next season.
Carl Yuan also moved from 126th to 125th, making him fully exempt for the year. Other names that benefitted include Alex Smalley, who moved to no. 60 and Paul Haley II, who is now at 150.
Last Thursday, December 7, Rahm announced that he signed with LIV Golf, which is reportedly worth nine figures per Golf.com.
"Things have changed a lot. And so have I. Seeing the growth of LIV Golf, seeing the evolution of LIV Golf and the innovation is something that's really captured my attention. And that's why we're here today," the 2021 U.S. Open winner said.
