Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Florida Panthers (12-17-5, 29 points) and Toronto Maple Leafs (17-15-3, 37 points) go head-to-head live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto for the first of four meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Florida fans can hear all of the action by adjusting their radios to WQAM 560 while Toronto fans can do the same on TSN 1050.
Florida is riding a season-high three-game winning streak into the contest while Toronto is coming off a loss and open a three-game homestand.
Leafs forward Morgan Rielly scored his first NHL goal to tie the team's last game at one but Toronto eventually fell 3-1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday.
"It's a pretty nice feeling, but it's always tough when your team loses," Rielly told NHL.com. "You're not overly happy after the game because of what the score was, but it's pretty nice just to get it out of the way."
The Panthers are coming off of a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday and Scott Clemmensen has filled in nicely in net for the team with Tim Thomas (lower-body) sidelined.
"This is my job, this is what I've been doing," Clemmensen told the Miami Herald. "When given the opportunity, I can step in and play regardless if I've been sitting for a while or someone gets hurt and I have to play a few in a row. Whatever it is, that's my job."
Clemmensen is 2-2-1 with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .879 save percentage this season. Jonathan Bernier is the probable starter for the Maple Leafs and is 10-11-2 with a 2.53 GAA and a .925 save percentage.
Toronto is led by Phil Kessel , who has 32 points off of 17 goals and 15 assists while James van Riemsdyk has 14 tallies and 12 helpers with 26 points and Mason Raymond has hit the back of the net 10 times and added 14 assists for 24 points.
Scottie Upshall has paced Florida with 18 points off of 12 goals and six assists while Tomas Fleischmann has lit the lamp four times and added 13 helpers for 17 points and Jonathan Huberdeau is tied for the team-lead with seven markers to go along with eight assists for 15 points.
The Panthers look to extend their winning streak to four games while the Maple Leafs hope to open up their homestand on a positive note when the teams take the ice tonight at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
