Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Boston Bruins (23-9-2, 48 points) and Buffalo Sabres (8-23-3, 19 points) faceoff live from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo for the second of five meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Boston fans can hear all of the action on 98.5 The Sports Hub while Buffalo fans can do the same on WGR 550.
Boston enters play as one of the best teams in the league while Buffalo will look to win consecutive games for the first time since Nov. 12. The first time these two teams played, the Bruins beat the Sabres 5-2 on Oct. 23.
The Bruins notched a 2-0 shutout victory over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday where Tuukka Rask stopped all 21 shots he faced to blank the Flames.
"It wasn't pretty all the time, it was kind of just pucks bouncing all over the place but we got the goals and power plays, stepped up," Rask told NHL.com of the win.
Rask is 17-8-2 with a 1.90 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage. Ryan Miller is likely to be between the pipes tonight for Buffalo and is 7-17-0 with a 2.87 GAA and a .921 save percentage.
The Sabres are coming off of a 4-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets after Matt Moulson scored the game-winner. Since being acquired from the Islanders, Moulson has six goals and 13 points for Buffao.
"I've really come to admire him not only as a player, but as a man. He's a true pro," coach Ted Nolan said per NHL.com. "He comes to work. He has a great demeanor about him. He seems to really enjoy the game. He's one of those guys you like to have on your team for sure."
Moulson has 22 points off of 12 goals and 10 assists to lead the Sabres while Cody Hodgson has eight tallies and 11 helpers for 19 points and Tyler Ennis has hit the back of the net seven times and added seven assists for 14 points.
For Boston, David Krejci leads the way with 29 points off of six goals and 23 assists while Milan Lucic has 11 markers and 13 helpers for 24 points and Reilly Smith has lit the lamp nine times and added 14 assists for 23 points thus far this season.
The Bruins look to keep on winning while the Sabres hope to notch back-to-back wins for the first time in over a month when the puck drops tonight at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.
