UFC lightweight contender Michael Chandler isn't just training for a possible bout with Conor McGregor, but he's eyeing a future in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The 39-year-old fighter previously hinted at his love of professional wrestling.

Chandler now confirmed that he's currently discussing this collaboration with WWE officials, including WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.

Chandler is no stranger to the WWE scene. According to 411 Mania, mixed martial arts first appeared on WWE RAW on February 19, 2024. He added some spice when he called out McGregor from the crowd.

At that time, WWE fans speculated that Chandler might eventually transition from the Octagon to the squared circle. It was proven later that he was really interested in getting a WWE deal.

As Fightful reported via The Schmo, Chandler said he's trying to make the WWE contract happen.

For a performer who has built his career on high-flying matches and promos, Chandler might possess all the qualities WWE seeks in a crossover talent.

WWE Is a 'Cool Transition' For Chandler

Chandler did not hesitate to compliment the WWE brand and culture, pointing out that it closely aligns with his values and aspirations.

"He knows I'm a fan of WWE and him and the brand. He's obviously a fan of what I bring to the table from an entertainment standpoint, what I can do on the microphone," he added.

He stressed mutual respect between both parties and kept the door open for future collaboration. While he did not go on record as confirming a deal, Chandler did suggest a keen interest in pursuing professional wrestling seriously after his UFC career is over.

The Platform to Entertain and Inspire

For Chandler, it's not about the performance; it's about purpose. He's ready to make a huge difference in another ring. He acknowledged that the WWE brand is growing and "impacting people is the most important thing."

If the deal is successful, Chandler would become part of a long list of MMA stars-turned-WWE performers, such as Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. His physicality, microphone ability, and fan base make him a perfect candidate for the WWE universe.
